East Coast Admissions Launches $10,000 Scholars Award

East Coast Admissions has announced the launch of the East Coast Admissions Scholars Award, a new annual scholarship program recognizing high school seniors who embody resilience, empathy, and purpose in their journey to college.

Each year, starting with the class of 2026, two outstanding students will be selected to receive $5,000 scholarships toward their college education. The award is open to all U.S. high school seniors who will enroll in a two- or four-year accredited college.

“I believe education should be the most affordable and accessible commodity on the planet,” said Cleopatra Kotey, Founder & CEO of East Coast Admissions. “This scholarship is a small but meaningful way to drive that mission forward. To help students see that their stories and their potential matter just as much as their scores.”

Unlike many scholarships, the East Coast Admissions Scholars Award has no GPA requirement. Instead, it’s designed to recognize the individual gifts and strengths each student brings. Applicants are evaluated based on their personal growth, leadership, and impact not just traditional academic measures.

“Every student is gifted in their own way,” added Cleopatra. “By removing GPA barriers, we’re creating equal opportunity for all students to be seen, heard, and celebrated.”

Students are invited to submit a 300–650-word essay reflecting on a meaningful challenge or experience that shaped their outlook and future goals. A letter of recommendation and optional creative supplement may also be included.

Applications open on January 1 and close on May 1 each year, with recipients announced on June 15, starting with the class of 2026. Winners will also receive mentorship opportunities through East Coast Admissions’ network of advisors and educators.
